Strafe

Submission to the Patch Notes Game-jam 2025!

A small platformer taking advantage of different bugs of Movement in games, either from my own learnings or well known ones!

Survive the Simulation buy taking advantage of a variety of Error like:

• Additive moment to move faster when diagonal.
• Direction Reversing movement collision pushing you through walls.
• Bad tile design layout allowing jump resetting off roofs for infinite jumps.
• No fall speed caps to shoot through solid floors.

Some of these are classic movement errors, some are errors that showed up when I tried learning game making, so take advantage of the issues and remember to STRAFE

(btw making a movement system that is both fun and satisfying to use while also having the situationally required bugs took up like a third of the development time ¬^¬)

Clues for Levels:
1. face away from the wall and jump.
2. The roof is a floor tile, resetting jumps to air jump
3. Glitched block can be moved through, so can greyed our blocks, crushers only move 4 tiles.
